(It's worth noting that unfolding does seem to require two hands.) Once it's folded up, the Joolz Aer is a significantly smaller and more manageable package than many of the other strollers on this list - it fit easily into our makeshift airplane overhead compartment - and a stretchy elastic shoulder pad and handlebar give two convenient, comfortable carrying options. The folding process itself is easy and can be done one-handed - just simultaneously push two buttons and push forward. It's great to just keep in the car since it packs up so small and folds and unfolds easily so you can take it with you pretty much everywhere. The stroller's exceptional compactness and ease of carrying when folded are what truly won us over. But none of those things alone is what sets it apart from the other strollers we tested. The Joolz Aer looks great, rolls smoothly, and features plenty of padding for the little rider sitting in it. The straps can be finicky and take some getting used to. We measured and weighed them, then spent eight and a half hours in our New York City lab putting them all through the wringer, looking at each stroller's maneuverability, design features, durability, and portability. We tested 32 travel strollers from top brands such as Uppababy, Nuna, and Babyzen. In the end, you want your travel stroller to be comfortable and safe for your child while folding up into a very compact, easy-to-carry package. Many travel strollers fold multiple ways to reduce the length, width, and height some, like umbrella strollers, fold one way into a narrow but still-long piece. So, what is a travel stroller? A travel stroller is a smaller, more scaled-back stroller with a collapsible frame that can be folded up tightly. If you plan to travel even somewhat often with your little ones, you might want to invest in a travel stroller. Not ideal for packing into trains, planes, and automobiles or for bringing in and out of a hotel. But your everyday stroller might not be your best bet when you hit the road: Today's models are big with lots of storage space, wide canopies, and large wheels for challenging terrain. The Joolz Aer does have a flip-flop friendly brake, so if that's important to you, we'd recommend the Aer.If you're traveling with a child under 4 years old or so, you need a stroller. The Bugaboo Butterfly does not have a flip-flop friendly brake, so if you'll be using the stroller with sandals, that might not be too much fun. The pocket doesn't have space for much, but it can be convenient. The Bugaboo Butterfly is slightly more practical, with a much more spacious underseat basket, and it has more room for your bags after you’ve spent the day shopping around town! However the Joolz Aer has a little pocket in back of the seat, something which the Butterfly doesn't offer. The Aer also folds up pretty fast, and like the Butterfly, it can be folded up with just one hand! Storage Space

The Butterfly folds up in a second with a cool collapsible fold. The Butterfly is super simple to recline even when you've already began your walk! The Joolz is lighter than the Butterfly, but the Butterfly has a sturdier feel. Also, because the Joolz has a zippered recline, its more difficult to recline the seat while the child is in it, unless your child leans forward. The Butterfly has more of a recline than the Joolz Aer, which has just a partial recline. When you're not using it, you can adjust the legrest so that it's under the seat so that you don't really see it. One of the greatest benefits of the Butterfly is that it has an adjustable 5-position hide-away legrest, to keep your little one really comfortable all ride long.

The Butterfly is a classy and posh compact stroller, while the Joolz Aer has a more chilled, casual look we love, with a brown leather handlebar on all color choices except the black for that modern touch, and a less curved, more straight handlebar than the Bugaboo Butterfly. Now you can find out how the Bugaboo Butterfly matches up to the Aer, and what advantages there are to each! Design Hey moms! If you’ve been following our blog recently, you’ve heard about the Bugaboo Butterfly, the latest stroller in Bugaboo’s luxury stroller lineup! We’ve been getting some questions about how this stroller compares to some of our other popular travel strollers, like the Joolz Aer, the Babyzen, and even Minu.
